WOW! Well I just saw the 2 hour premiere of Grey's Anatomy season 5! I can't believe it started out with Derek almost dying, well actually dying on the table, but thank god it was just a dream.
Also Alex and Izzie seem to be getting closer, but then they get pushed back a little. I really want them to get involved in a real relationship.
Then in the OR having Scrub nurse Rose stab Derek with a scalpel I mean seriously if your a trained scrub nurse you know not to hand a scalpel to a doctor blade first. It was no accident and at the end of the episode Rose kind of admits it which is good! And also says that she is moving to PEDS which is even better. I don't want her to ruin anything between Meredith and Derek.
Christina. Wow! I can't believe she told Meredith off like that. But then she falls hits her head and gets stuck with an icicle. Can you say instant karma. I sure know I can. But you saw from the first moment Yang saw the army guy/Owen she was impressed, since he stuck someone with a ball point pen to help them breath. Also you could tell she was very impressed that he does everything his own way, because that's how she like it!
After Owen was at the hospital and helped with the patients including Yang, the chief offered him a job, but he turned it down. I'm hoping he comes back and accepts it. I think he will end up doing that since Christina needs to get involved with someone. It's been a while, a long while since she was involved with Burke.
Also I loved how in the exam room Yang and Owen kissed. Now you just sooooo want them to get involved, that it gets you all frustrated that there not even if it's only been 2 episodes. Well at least that's my opinion anyways.
Also I sooooo want Meredith and Derek to get married and have kids.
And Lexie. Now we all know that Lexie is completely in love with George but he doesn't know it. I think we have another George in love with Meredith situation on our hands. Alert the OR, Just kidding.
But now I think we all kind of like Lexie. Well she never did anything wrong, except be the daughter of the dad who abandoned Meredith who ended up fathering her. I don't know if we want Lexie and George together but it wouldn't hurt for George to get involved with someone.
At the beginning of the first part of the premiere we all found out that Seattle Grace was moved down to #12 on the list of the best teaching hospitals and Mercy West (their competing hospital) ranked above them. The chief is not happy about that, neither is anyone there especially some of the top doctors who are supposed to be teaching. I think that happened because they don't have Preston Burke, one of the top cardio surgeons and Addison Shepherd, one of the top neonatal surgeons.
So I like how Dr. Bailey (one of my favorite characters) realized that the 3 women from the car crash had their 3 husbands that were also in the crash going to Mercy West and got the wives to of course want their husbands at the same hospital. Since they basically didn't have any good patients since everyone was going to Mercy West.
Then let's get to Callie and Erica Hahn's relationship. Wow they are in love. But you can tell at the beginning (first part) of the premiere that it's really awkward between them. They I think are going to make a great couple, but it's going to be hard to come out to everyone at Seatlle Grace. Yikes.
I liked how when Callie was going frantic that Erica calmed her down and got her to remember what she researched.
Now let's get to the cases/patients:
There were the 3 women in the crash. Then the 3 husbands. Then also if you count the army guy, Owen. and of course Yang since she was stabbed by an icicle.
Well Owen help saving the guy using a ball point pen was clever. I like his methods, not by the books, except I don't know if I would want him working on me with those methods. LOL!
Ok. There was the 3 wives. One just had a cut on her face. The other just was a little banged up but I'm pretty sure was fine and actually was never a patient. Then there was the other woman. She had I think they called it a hematoma that made her lose her memory every 30 seconds, so every 30 seconds she wouldn't know where she was or what was going on or where her husband was. Which got pretty annoying for all the doctors. I wouldn't want to be in their position having to repeat myself saying the same thing over and over and over and over again.
Then there were the husbands. 2 out of the 3 died. The one where the wive cheated on him with her best friends husband and the one who was married to the woman with the hematoma which made her lose her memory every 30 seconds. Then the other husband survived but easily could have almost died and was about to since he was the one where they froze him to try to un-paralayze him. He was the one who lost his job and had his medical insurance expiring at midnight since he lost his job and also he cheated on his wive with his wives best friend.
I know, I know very complicated I hope I explained it okay.
Now let's get to Yang who we know was stabbed by an icicle and had the hot Owen fix her up.
Then of course Owen his leg got all banged up somehow. I don't exactly remember how but he stapled most of it up himself, wow he's strong. He didn't worry about his injury at all when he was saving some of the patients. Now thats a dedicated doctor.
I thought the episode was very full filling and covered a lot. But I can't wait to see what happens with Owen and how Meredith and Derek's relationship works out and what happens with Rose. Oh and also hoping that Yang and Owen get involved and can't wait to see what happens with Erica and Callie.
and of course what happens with Seattle Grace's teaching hospital rating!
and hopefully she another one of those great episode with a lot of intrigue like when Meredith was holding the bomb in her hand or drowned. I hope to see another one like that but of course she survives. LOL!
and also I know Kate Walsh who plays Addison Shepherd has her own show now Private Practice but I really hope she comes back and guest stars on a few episodes and can't wait to see the season 2 premiere of Private Practice!
